Positive Airway Pressure Devices LCD - Delayed Implementation
In July, the DME MACs published a Local Coverage Determination (LCD) on Positive
Airway Pressure (PAP) Devices for Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Some criteria in
that policy were to take effect for dates of service on or after September
1. All criteria with a September 1, 2008 implementation date are being delayed.
A revised LCD will be published in the near future and will include a new effective
date for those criteria.
