CERT (Comprehensive Error Rate Testing) To Begin New Process June/July 2005
Beginning in June/July 2005 CERT requests for medical records will come from a new location. The CERT Documentation Contractor (CDC) is located in Anapolis Junction, MD. Located at the end of this article is an example of the envelope which will contain these requests for records.
Along with this new process come a few changes:
- The CDC will now scan all medical records and post the images in a central image repository. Please ensure that all medical records sent to the CDC are readable. Remember, if you cannot read the document, neither can they.
- The CDC will now send to every provider who sends medical records via fax a fax confirmation letter. An example of this confirmation letter can be located at the end of this article.
