Electronic Claim Submission
Submitting your claim information electronically has proven to be the most efficient way to process your claims -- and you're paid sooner.
Electronic Receipt Listings
Within two days of a successful transmission, electronic billers
can confirm that CIGNA Government Services received their claim information
by downloading a summary report of the transmission. This report
will also show any errors that occurred which caused claims to reject
and did not make it into the system. For an example of this report, click

Electronic Remittance Notices
You can electronically receive the same information reported on paper remittance notices. Some billing software packages offer automatic posting to your accounts receivable and/or patient billing system. Save TIME and MONEY by taking advantage of FREE Medicare Remit Easy Print (MREP) software now available for viewing and printing of the HIPAA compliant Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA). The format specifications for the ANSI 4010A1 835 (Electronic Remittance Advice) are available through the Washington Publishing Company.

Claim Status Inquiry 4010A1 276/277
Find out if your claims have been paid, denied, or are still pending. Part B EDI accepts the ANSI 4010A1 276/277 Claims Status Inquiry/Claims Status Response paired transaction sets. Claims Status Inquiry (CSI) allows suppliers and providers to check the status of claims within three days of successful transmission.
- Contact your software vendor to find out if the 276/277 paired transaction sets is offered to you in conjunction with your practice management software.
