North Carolina Provider Outreach and Education (POE) Advisory Group
CIGNA Government Services invites interested parties to participate in our North Carolina Provider Outreach and Education (POE) Advisory Group. The primary function of the Advisory Group is to assist us in the creation, implementation, and review of provider education strategies and efforts. The Advisory Group provides input and feedback on training topics, provider education materials, and dates and locations of provider education workshops and events. The group also identifies salient provider education issues, and recommends effective means of information dissemination to all appropriate providers and their staff. The Advisory Group is used as a provider education consultant resource, to assist our Provider Outreach and Education team in the planning of educational events and activities.
With a program of such magnitude and complexity, often times the rules and regulations surrounding Medicare can be overwhelming. We look forward to partnering with the provider community to improve and enhance the communication and Medicare education within North Carolina.
We are inviting representatives from various medical specialties, clinical laboratories, diagnostic centers, ambulance suppliers, etc., as well as from billing services with active provider clients to join this advisory group. We encourage representation from across the state of North Carolina from large and small practices and organizations.
To make it easier for all parts of the state to express their recommendations for Medicare education, we will hold quarterly meetings and teleconferences to discuss the carrier's educational efforts.
