Tennessee Provider Outreach and Education (POE) Advisory Group
CIGNA Government Services invites interested parties to participate in our Tennessee Provider Outreach and Education (POE) Advisory Group. The primary function of the Advisory Group is to assist us in the creation, implementation, and review of provider education strategies and efforts. The Advisory Group provides input and feedback on training topics, provider education materials, and dates and locations of provider education workshops and events. The group also identifies salient provider education issues, and recommends effective means of information dissemination to all appropriate providers and their staff. The Advisory Group is used as a provider education consultant resource, to assist our Provider Outreach and Education team in the planning of educational events and activities.
The TN POE Advisory Group conducts teleconference meetings in December, March and June. The September meeting is held in Nashville for POE Advisory Group members to meet in-person to discuss plans for educational activities and events for the new fiscal year, which begins each October. (For those who cannot attend in-person, we have teleconference access).
We are inviting representatives from various medical specialties, clinical laboratories, diagnostic centers, ambulance suppliers, etc., as well as from billing services with active provider clients to join this advisory group. We encourage representation from across the state of Tennessee from large and small practices and organizations.
