Changes to Beneficiary Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs)

CIGNA Government Services has started a pilot program with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The pilot program changes the mailing of "no payment" Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs) from monthly to quarterly.

The change to the quarterly mailing schedule will stop the printing of the March 2006 "no payment" MSN. The first quarterly mailing will be in mid-April, the second in July, and the third in October of 2006. Beneficiaries needing a statement before the quarterly mailing may still get a copy by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.
